Off to London!

In exactly a week from now, I will be on my way to London--something I have been wanting to do since I was twelve years old. At last it is happening! But it also has forced me to reflect on some things, and give some advice to the void in general, to anyone who might be needing this right now.

First, do not be afraid! Whatever it is that you want to do that will not get you in jail or in a hospital or put you or others in harm's way, go ahead and do it. It is often the "I want to, BUT--" that keeps us from our dreams. Married, single, old, young, it does not matter. Do what you love if you find the time and means...and if you don't find the time or the means, it means there is something better for you right here, right now.

Second, no regrets! Roll with the punches. I'm learning this slowly, as I am one of those people who constantly stresses about everything, whether it's work, singlehood, future--we all have those looming issues that we don't know what to do with or that we suffer from...and I mean SUFFER! A lot of times we bring stress upon ourselves for things that are in the past or that we fear we might be making the wrong decision. You'll know if you are going the wrong way--it's in our natures to know. So don't worry so much (This coming from the worst worry wart of all!) ! :)

Third, live a fulfilled life! I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and that is what I want most. No matter what happens, I want to know that in the end I have lived a fulfilled life, made a difference in this world for the better. However that might happen for you, whatever that might mean to you, make it happen! There is nothing so fulfilling as knowing that you are really living, even if that means stepping into the dark.

So go ahead. Make that bucket list and start checking it off...I dare you!
